ABOUT THE WINERY

Located in Meloisey, a small village in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune with a viticultural tradition that dates back centuries, in the early 1950s, Pierre Mazilly succeeded his grandfather to begin serious work at this domaine. Eventually, Pierre’s son Frédéric and now his grandson Aymeric and wife, Alysson have taken up the torch and continue the family tradition. The Mazilly family takes care of all stages of production, from the work of the vineyard to bottling, in order to always offer high-quality wines. The estate’s 18 hectares in total are located mainly in the Côtes de Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, and Beaune are their centerpieces. They also work in renowned appellations such as Gevrey-Chambertin.

ABOUT THE WINE

Les Noizons is arguably the best village vineyard in Pommard. It is located just above the Premiers Crus of Les Charmots and Les Pézerolles, with a superb southeast exposure. The soil has plenty of small stones to help reflect the heat, even though the vineyard is also subject to cool winds.
The 2019 vintage has a great structure! These past few years in the bottle have really helped the wine showcase its full potential.
